Anurag Sundarka is the co-founder of ZebraLearn, the Surat-based learning platform he built with his sister Radhika Sundarka around a format they call the Visual Book , where text, design, and visuals are integrated from the start for better retention, not added as an afterthought.

ZebraLearn grew from ₹10 lakh in revenue in 2022 to ₹10.7 crore in 2024, sells 10,000 to 20,000 books a month, and secured ₹1 crore in funding from Ritesh Agarwal on Shark Tank India Season 4. ZebraLearn titles now appear in corporate training programmes and cover topics that matter to founders, marketers, and growth professionals , including The Martech Playbook by Dr. Ashish Bajaj.

Anurag is also the author of The BookPreneur, a practical guide to writing, self-publishing, and selling non-fiction books , drawn directly from ZebraLearn's experience building multiple Amazon bestsellers from scratch.

Background & Journey
Anurag comes from a finance background rather than publishing. He holds degrees in Finance and Financial Management from Jaipur National University, cleared CFA Level 3, and worked as a Fund Manager at Finnacle's Future Wizard Fund. He previously co-founded ZebraPro, a research platform for investors.
The idea for ZebraLearn took shape in 2019 after a publisher rejected a book he had written , and that rejection became the entire business. The company was formally incorporated in August 2020, making its growth to ₹10 crore in four years one of the more remarkable bootstrapped stories in India's D2C publishing space.
On Dilse Omni Talks
Anurag Sundarka recently appeared on Dilse Omni Talks with host Saurabh Agrawal, where the conversation explored “How ZebraLearn is building India's first D2C publishing platform” , and what brands can learn from their approach to content and commerce.

3 Key Takeaways from the Episode:
● The market tells you what works , if you watch it carefully. Anurag's pivot to visual books came directly from watching customer behaviour, not from the original business plan. The lesson is that the best product insight is usually hidden in how existing customers use what you have already built.
● A book is a milestone in a learning journey, not the end of one. That reframing is what makes ZebraLearn a platform rather than a publisher. The book opens a relationship with the reader , and the opportunity is everything that comes after, from courses and communities to corporate training programmes.
● Indian publishing has an omnichannel gap. Discovery, purchase, and application of knowledge still live in disconnected places across India , and that gap is where ZebraLearn is building. The brand that can connect the moment someone discovers an idea to the moment they can apply it has a significant advantage.
