Nitin Jain is the founder of Indigifts, one of India's earliest and most distinctive gifting brands, built on the belief that emotion, not commodity, is what gifting is really about. He currently operates as a "copilot" rather than a founder in the traditional sense, someone who sits beside the driver to hold the direction rather than take the wheel, through Copreneurs, his community platform for growth-stage entrepreneurs, and through venture studio work that includes co-piloting Kathputli Toys, a 100-day-old brand built entirely on Rajasthani cultural IP. Over 20 years, he has moved through five distinct reinventions, building IP, protecting it, enabling other creators, and staying grounded in a sense of purpose throughout.
Background – education and career
Nitin's career began almost by accident, with a newspaper ad reading "If you are creative, imaginative and ambitious, animate your career." He left his hometown in Rajasthan, enrolled in one of India's first animation degree programmes, and began working before he'd even graduated, charging ₹500 for a logo. That early creative practice led him to run a design house in Jaipur, a first mover in a print-heavy market, before he found his true niche in gifting and founded Indigifts, which has since processed 2.5 million orders. From there he moved into enabling other creators and artisans on his platform, and today he co-pilots ventures and runs Copreneurs, a 350-member community of growth-stage entrepreneurs collectively generating an estimated ₹8,000–10,000 crore in revenue.
